Shell Specifications
Before a steel shell is brought in for a fit-out, it is inspected to make sure it is up to our standard. Therefore the thickness of the steel is specified at the ordering stage. We can use 10mm/8mm base depending on the size of craft, 6mm hull sides, 5mm cabin and 4mm roof. When put together by our selected builders this ensures a very stable craft which will carry the Bernard Beardall Marine Services name.
There will be an all steel fuel tank of approximately 60 gallons capacity with filler cap and drain off. An intregal water tank of approximately 150 gallons is standard (but can be changed to polyprop/stainless steel if required at no extra cost). This is complete with sealed inspector hatch and filler cap. Bollards are fitted 1 forward, 2 aft, safety rails (cruiser only), quick release weed hatch, rudder and tiller.
The engine compartment will have engine beares and keel cooler or mud box. All shells have self draining decks. All shells are primer painted and have bitumen coatings to hull sides. Shells are fininshed and painted in a choice of colours selected from our charts.
